Read my blog ..

Check out this list! These are stats from yesterday's blog, showing the countries where people have logged on to read my ramblings! Isn't that brilliant? Although I'd love to know what causes these sudden bursts of interests in different countries - there were 29 'reads' of the blog in Ukraine, for example. Oh, and 'Hi!' to the one person in the UAE who dropped by!..

Had a great portrait shoot in the studio yesterday. A fourteen year old lad whose mother was convinced would be a nightmare to photograph! Folks, he didn't want to leave! Well, ok, he did .. of course he did .. it was almost tea-time .. but he wasn't as traumatised as his Mum thought he would be! There's another booking like this on Saturday too and, again, it's a case of Mum being unhappy with the school photo her son has had taken. Happy to help, all you Mums out there! Happy to help ..

Just over a week until the next outing for Manchester Wedding Photography but, this time, it's a bit of a 'family affair'. My nephew ties the knot with the lovely Ashley on the 13th and I've offered to shoot their Big Day as a Wedding Present. At least you'll know that, as I'll be busy working, I won't be the one doing the embarrassing 'Uncle' dancing on the disco floor.
Now that would be a blog to read ..

A slice of the cake ..

I had a great shoot at the studio yesterday - the first for my £25 pose and print Summer Offer - and what a cute little live-wire she was! The old shutter-finger goes mad when you get a happy subject like this, and so her Mum will be in the - fortunate? - position of having a massive 80 photographs to sift through today. Not bad for twenty-five quid, eh?...

I've got my first 'Cake-Smash' coming up as well .. and no, I didn't know what one was, either! It's the bizarre concept of baking a birthday cake for a one-year old, and then letting the bugger splat it to bits right there in front of the camera. I'm saying nothing! I'm in business and if that's what customers want - or are being told they want - then who am I to argue? We all want a slice of the cake ..

Fancy a brew?..

Slogging through the compilation of not one, but three Wedding CDs today, so I reckon I've earned a nice cuppa and a couple of minutes' breather! Appropriately enough, here's one of the photographs I've just added from a Wedding last September. Gosh, that seems so long ago! Remarkably, though, most of this year's brides have been pretty much 'on-the-ball' when it comes to deciding on their selections of images from their Big Days. I actually only have two couples who haven't yet got their choices finalised, which reminds me of a chat I had recently with the parent of a child I'd just photographed. I'd joked that some parents have been known to take two years to choose which photographs they wanted from a shoot. "You're joking.." she said "How can it take them so long?" That was 18 months ago and she's only just sent me her choice!
Two sugars, please!
