Name-dropper ..
So there I was, merrily shooting 80s pop-maestro Pete Waterman yesterday, when in walks .. Terry O'Neill !! I know! Incredible .. the leader of Warrington Borough Council! Seems I'm - ho, ho - not the only O'Neill with a famous alter-ego and my, how we laughed as the football manager photographed the famous photographer - in name, at least!
So, so far this year I've shot celebs, I've shot cheese for websites, I've photographed dogs, passports, LinkedIn portraits, warehouses, apprentices .. so it's about time I shot a Wedding! I'll be honest and say it's been a bit of a quiet start to the year as far as Weddings are concerned but .. that all changes on Sunday when I head off to shoot my first of the year in sunny old Warrington town! I cannot wait!
Mothers' Day looms and I've tied in with a couple of local businesses to offer a fantastic deal on portraits as a gift idea for Mum. The Raven Inn and Spa Beautiful, as well as myself, are each offering 20% off our respective meals, massages and erm, mug shots as a sure-fire way of keeping your Mum happy come the end of the month. The offer lasts 'til the end of next month, too, so come on down and get yerselves a voucher. Don't be shy about name-dropping. Just tell the others that Martin O'Neill sent you ..

Blushing!...
Now, you know me. You know I hate to be the centre of attention, so I've really had to step out of my comfort zone for today's blog. However, now that I'm out of it..
Hey, everybody, look at ME!!!!! That's me! It's me! Look! Meeee......
And whilst I'm at it ... Look, it's MEEEE.... again!
Yes, folks! I've made it onto the gallery pages of not one, but two, rock photography websites, and I know I've only just blogged about the shot of ME with Terry O'Neill, but I thought it only right that I gave you another opportunity to look at a photograph of ME!!!!....
Rock Paper Photo in New York, and the online T-shirt company 'Don't Talk to me about heroes' have both added me to their list of prestigious music photographers and, truth to tell - fake bragging aside - I am really, really flattered! It's so cool to think that people might want to see my work and, hey who knows, maybe even buy a print or a T-shirt! A new link went active yesterday allowing music-lovers around the world to log into Amazon and get themselves a tasty little piece of rock history.
Now, what was I talking about? ..

Hello Dad...
Well, look at me, hob-nobbing with the rich and famous! This is the 'Photographers' page on RockPaperPhoto, the New York on-line gallery that's stocking my Limited Edition Music Photography. At least, I hope they are, after Superstorm Sandy! I got added to the page about two months ago and now just look who's popped up beside me. It's me old mucker Tel Boy O'Neill, the snapper from Darn Sarf who's been there, done it and definitely got the T-shirt! What esteemed company I keep these days! Mind you, I'll bet his sales are going a little better than mine...

Fame at last! ..
Recognition, at last! See, I knew it was only a matter of time! Well, I'd like to thank my mother, my father, my .. oh, you mean Terry O'Neill? Damn it! One, day, one day....
I'll tell you what, though, I'm gonna grab my trumpet and give it a good old toot (Behave!) because I have had some fantastic compliments this week, both from Wedding couples and the big bad world of PR. Check these out .. "Some great pix here.." (That was for a brochure shoot I did last week) and "We had the most amazing day and not only did you make it more fun on the day but you have given us the most amazing memories. We really can't thank you enough. You are an absolute star and worth every penny." (That was for last week's Wedding)
So, if this magazine article was about me I'd like it to say "What inspires him" instead of "Who" and the answer would be making people happy with my work .. simple as that!
Now, off for that hair cut...
