Food for thought ..
I now have two exhibitions going on at the same time in Salford - one in a café and one in a restaurant! At least you won't starve to death if you to see any of my work! I've got Joy Division shots at the Deli-Lama Café, along with a selection of my Twelve for '13 Eccles archive - and I've got 'food' themed photography at Smiths restaurant in Eccles along with a couple of .. er, Smiths shots from 1984! One of these days I'll have to try my luck with an exhibition in a proper grown-up gallery but, as they say, a wall is a wall! Food for thought ..

The subject is ..
I'm flying high today! Subjects for my blog have been battling it out in my head all morning! I was going to write about some fab retouching I've just done, rescuing some images of a church from faded, dusty 1903 photographs! But then I wanted to tell you about just how good the Fuji X10 is, as I actually shot some website portraits on it yesterday and they're beautiful! They're on my Head-Shots page! Check 'em out! Then I saw the news item about the two 9 year old girls who've just had a go at wing-walking on the Breitling biplanes, and I thought I'd show you a shot from this year's Waddington air-show. Then I wanted to tell you that today I'm putting some new photographs up at Smiths restaurant in Eccles. A new selection from my Twelve for '13 Eccles archive. But .. I've decided to go with the news that, at 7.30 this morning, I got an email from a Wedding magazine saying they'd like to use one of my summer Weddings as a 'Real-Life' Wedding for their Autumn edition. I'm desperately trying to contact the bride to get her permission. It's all up in the air .. on a wing and a prayer, you might say! Stay tooned!

Bite-sized..
Hey, dear reader! Fancy a break? (Sorry, you have to read this in a corny commercial voice-over kinda way! Yeah, man!) So, looking for some great food? Want to combine that with some cool photography? Then why not pop down to Smiths Restaurant in Eccles? Smiths? Yes, Smiths Restaurant, where you'll find a delicious selection of food and drink and .. wow.. wait .. an exhibition of my archive photographs on the theme of .. food and drink! Far out! (Actually, it's just by the railway station, with ample convenient parking) ..
Yes folks, today's the day my new collection of work goes up and I'm really delighted with the selection. I've managed to pick an amazing 90 images from my Twelve for '13 archive, all on the theme of Food and Drink. It's called .. wait for it .. 'Photography .. it's food and drink to me!' Ha! Took me ages to come up with that one! Click here for a sneak preview, and then get yo asses down to Smiths for a longer gander! Have something tasty to eat whilst you're there!
But I don't think they sell Kit Kats! ..
Stop Press: Oooh, look at me! I've come over all previous! Turns out that the restaurant is in the middle of redecorating, but they're keen to get my work asap. Hell, just go for the nosh and catch up with my exhibition next week!

Tell 'em about the exhibition, Martin..
It's like bloody buses round here! Having just teamed up with the chap that's making the Chris Sievey film I spent yesterday meeting with an artist who wants to involve my work in his future shows, and then checking out the venue for a new exhibition I'm having! Three new projects in the space of two days! Phew! Anyway, the 'new' venue is a restaurant in Eccles called Smiths. It offers wall space to local artists, and the owners invited me to exhibit after seeing my Twelve for '13 show at Eccles Art Gallery. This new show will start in the middle of May and, well .. Smiths? Guess what pictures I'll be showing! Correct! Although, as well as my Morrissey shots, the idea came up in conversation that I should show a few of my archive photographs that relate to food and drink. Restaurant? Food and Drink? Geddit? To be honest, I didn't think I'd have enough pictures for that to work .. and then I started trawling! I've ended up with over a hundred shots that have something to do with food or drink. Today's image is one of 'em.
Have you worked it out?..
