I covered a groovy PR job last week, the Passing-Out Parade for the first new recruits to Greater Manchester Fire Brigade in seven years. What a great day it was! Great for the trainees, obviously, but great for me from the point of view of all the fab shots there were to be had. It hammered with rain all through the night before, then cleared to dazzling - and cold! - sunshine all through the parade! I just had to take advantage of it!..
Thing is, for the past week I've had the worst cold I've had in a long time. Just can't shift the bugger, and I know I sound like a drama queen but, honestly darlings, I thought I was the one who was going to be passing out ..
